These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website protectguide.info (the "Site") and any services, subscriptions, tools, dashboard access, monitoring features, and educational materials provided by ProtectGuide (the "Service").

By purchasing a subscription or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

ProtectGuide provides a subscription-based digital security awareness and monitoring service that may include:

  • Access to a verification dashboard
  • Email breach lookup
  • Breach monitoring and alerts
  • URL risk scanning
  • Phone reputation lookup
  • AI-based guidance tools
  • Educational materials and digital guides
  • Email alerts, summaries, and reports

Features available to you depend on the subscription plan selected at checkout. We reserve the right to modify, improve, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Third-Party Data Sources (HIBP and Others)

3.1 Breach data provider

Email breach lookup and monitoring may use the Have I Been Pwned® API ("HIBP"). When you run an email check, the email address you submit is sent to HIBP to perform the lookup. Third-party services may process and log request data according to their own policies.

3.2 No affiliation

ProtectGuide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Have I Been Pwned or its owner. Have I Been Pwned is a registered trademark of Troy Hunt.

3.3 Scope of results

Results depend on the availability and scope of third-party datasets. Not every breach or incident is included in any single database. Results may change over time.

4. Educational and Informational Purpose

The Service provides educational content, monitoring signals, and general guidance. It does not constitute legal, financial, cybersecurity, or professional advice. We do not guarantee prevention of fraud, identity theft, account compromise, or financial loss. You are responsible for decisions made based on the information provided.

5. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

6.1 Subscription model: The Service is offered on a recurring subscription basis. By purchasing, you authorize recurring billing until you cancel.

6.2 Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.

6.3 Cancellation: You may cancel anytime via your billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals, does not retroactively refund past payments, and allows continued access until the end of the billing period.

6.4 Payments: Payments are processed by Stripe or another third-party processor. Charges may appear as "PROTECTGUIDE".

6.5 Taxes: Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location.

7. Access and Delivery

Access to the dashboard and materials is granted immediately after successful payment. You are responsible for accurate account information and maintaining login security. We are not responsible for delays caused by spam filters or incorrect information.

8. Monitoring and Alerts

Monitoring plans require submission of email address(es) for lookup. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or real-time monitoring. Alert delivery may depend on third-party systems.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to abuse, reverse engineer, scrape data, bypass limits, or use the Service unlawfully. We may suspend or terminate access in cases of abuse, fraud, or security risk.

10. Usage Limits

Plans may include usage limits. Excessive or abusive use may result in restriction. We reserve the right to enforce fair use limitations.

11. Intellectual Property

All content and tools are owned by the Seller. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only. Resale or sharing access is prohibited without written permission.

12. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first subscription payment only. Renewal payments are generally non-refundable. Refunds may be declined in cases of excessive use during the refund period. Billing errors should be reported within 14 days.

13. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. Chargebacks may result in temporary suspension during review.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee detection of every breach, continuous availability, or specific outcomes.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the most recent subscription period giving rise to the claim.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms apply to future use after the effective date.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
